Class #8: Realistic 1" or 1/2" Pottery Wheel by IGMA Artisan Craig Roberts and/or Karen Roberts

Craig Roberts of Harry Potter's Pottery and/or Karen Roberts are offering a workshop to make a realistic potter's kick wheel in 1-inch or 1/2-inch scale. The wheel actually spins and could function. Students will sand, stain and accessorize their kick wheel to make it appear in use. Class participants will create numerous tools used in the throwing of pottery. Each student will receive various clay pieces, sponges, shards, a "wet looking" pot to place on the wheel, and a glazed pot to hold water.

Other accessories will be available at the show--a potter doll, shelves of pottery, even a kiln filled with pots. All skill levels welcome. Class duration: 9 am to 1:30 pm. For class details, cost, tools to bring, registration deadline, and Registration Form, go to http://goodsamshowcase.miniature.net
