At the Show - Doll artist from Spain

This week's blog introduces four dealers who will be at the Good Sam Show in October. Two are fine miniature artists from Spain. Another makes delightful animals and more. The last dealer creates an eye-catching line of miniature kits.

Maria Jose Santos of Spain has been making figures for 15 years. Doing business as Carabosse Dolls, she creates distinctive 1:12 scale porcelain period dolls and ballerinas from her own sculptures. We are delighted to have Maria as a dealer at this year's Show. mail@carabosse-dolls.com, www.carabosse-dolls.com
Hungarian Princess: character from the ballet Swan Lake.
France: girl in a costume from the end of the 1870's decade.

IGMA Artisan Cristina Noriega of Spain has been designing exceptional 1:12 scale furniture in all styles and periods for fifteen years. At the Show - Exhibits

This week's exhibits were created by IGMA Fellow Connie Sauve, doll maker and lifelong miniaturist. She is a member of the Good Sam Show Committee and is our new 2012 Exhibit Chairman. To see more of Connie's miniature scenes, look under My Miniatures on her website. www.thechinadoll.com

Casa del Sole in 1:12 scale was exhibited at the 2010 and 2011 Good Sam Shows. This is a project Connie made in a Bluette Meloney workshop. While Bluette's was Spanish in style, Connie decided to make hers Italian. Additional photos are available on her website.

Rosita's Cantina was exhibited at the 2008 Good Sam Show. It is an enchanting Bill Lankford design in 1:24 scale. A large, handsome structure, it has stone and stucco walls, a rusty metal roof, and tropical landscaping. More photos can be seen on Connie's website.
