At the Show - Small Scale

This week, we share the work of three innovative quarter-scale artisans and one artisan who works in half-inch scale. All of them have been dealers at Good Sam over the last several years. The magic is very strong for creating in the smaller scales as it is easy to be captivated by these charming tiny miniatures.

Luci and Dick Hanson of Hanson's Cascade have been making small scale buildings, furnishings and accessories for almost ten years. They offer handcrafted quarter-scale miniatures and workshops. They particularly enjoy creating contemporary designs. Luci will be offering a Friday workshop at the 2012 show. hansonminis@me.com, www.cascademiniatures.com

Luci headed up The Quarter Connection, an online miniaturist's club, for some time. The group has monthly workshops, bi-monthly roundtables, and a bi-annual online convention as well as other activities. It has grown to over 1100 members worldwide. www.qtrconnect.com
